Not pleased with being put in that spot, the X Games veteran and most decorated female athlete later took to social media to relay her disappointment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">On Instagram, Anderson posted a photo holding her big air bronze and showing off her bruised face.\u00a0<a id=\"N0x1c13dd0N0x1d2c1e0:N0x1c13dd0N0x1d10ad0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.aspentimes.com\/news\/sports\/x-games-day-1-notes-jaime-anderson-wins-16th-medal\/\">She failed to land a 1080<\/a>\u00a0and hit face-first on the downslope. She also had a few words about the setup.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"instagram-media\" data-instgrm-captioned=\"\" data-instgrm-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/BtEsAp6l8Yn\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;utm_medium=loading\" data-instgrm-version=\"12\" readability=\"-1.3258754863813\"><\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">\u201cI knew the Big Air jump wasn\u2019t the best all week. We were hoping they would listen to the riders and take into account our feedback on the jump and unfortunately they didn\u2019t,\u201d she wrote. \u201cI pushed myself even though I knew it wasn\u2019t feeling right, cab 9 was fine, but when I went and dialed a front 7, I had no choice but to go for the 10 (so I thought). It felt terrible to have a bad crash in front of everyone, especially my parents watching at home.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">In the post she said she wanted to \u201chide under a rock and just cry everything out.\u201d However, she mustered the strength to go to the men\u2019s big air ski qualifier and at the base did an interview and watched her crash.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">\u201cI was hurt that they decided to interview me on TV during men\u2019s qualifiers, shining light on that crash right as the men were dropping,\u201d she wrote. \u201cIt felt harsh after the crash I just had but I\u2019m rising above it all.
