{"id":1303546,"date":"2019-02-11T11:04:51","date_gmt":"2019-02-11T18:04:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vaildaily.com\/?p=447013"},"modified":"2019-02-11T11:04:51","modified_gmt":"2019-02-11T18:04:51","slug":"tyler-hamm-idd-as-snowboarder-who-died-in-snowmass-terrain-park","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alwaysmountaintime.com\/kske\/local-news\/tyler-hamm-idd-as-snowboarder-who-died-in-snowmass-terrain-park\/","title":{"rendered":"Tyler Hamm ID\u2019d as snowboarder who died in Snowmass terrain park"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tyler Hamm of Snowmass Village was identified Monday as the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aspentimes.com\/news\/person-dies-sunday-morning-at-snowmass-resort-terrain-park\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">snowboarder who died Sunday in the terrain park<\/a>\u00a0at Snowmass resort, the Pitkin County Coroner&#8217;s Office said Monday morning.<\/p>\n<p>The cause and manner of death are pending investigation,\u00a0Deputy Coroner\u00a0Eric Hansen said in a news release.<\/p>\n<p>Hamm, 20, died Sunday morning attempting a jump in the Makaha Park at about 11 a.m. Hamm was not wearing a helmet, an Aspen Skiing Co. spokesman said.<\/p>\n<p>The jump is just under the Village Express lift, which was shut down for a period Sunday after the incident.<\/p>\n<p>According to Hamm&#8217;s Facebook page, he was a cook at Lynn Britt Cabin, which is a restaurant on the mountain just above the terrain park.
