{"id":1303649,"date":"2019-02-13T15:19:07","date_gmt":"2019-02-13T22:19:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vaildaily.com\/?p=447375"},"modified":"2019-02-13T15:19:07","modified_gmt":"2019-02-13T22:19:07","slug":"new-vail-moguls-crew-notching-impressive-results-on-the-nor-am-circuit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alwaysmountaintime.com\/kske\/local-news\/new-vail-moguls-crew-notching-impressive-results-on-the-nor-am-circuit\/","title":{"rendered":"New Vail moguls crew notching impressive results on the Nor-Am circuit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>VAIL \u2013 When it comes to graduating athletes onto the national ski team, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vaildaily.com\/news\/sports\/2018-19-us-moguls-team-named-with-7-of-17-skiers-from-ski-snowboard-club-vail\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">few programs in the world produce as impressive results as Ski &amp; Snowboard Club Vail\u2019s moguls squad.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s the takeaway from So Matsuda, a Japanese freestyle skier who watched Casey Andringa go from <span class=\"st\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vaildaily.com\/news\/sports\/pyeongchang-2018-winter-olympics-big-vail-presence-on-olympic-mogul-team\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">not making the U.S. Team to being the top finishing American at the Olympics<\/a> in just a few months. Andringa, of Boulder, sought out Ski &amp; Snowboard Club Vail for the man he called \u201carguably the best mogul coach in the entire world,\u201d John Dowling.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>After watching Andringa\u2019s story unfold, \u201cI believe the Vail team is the best in the world,\u201d Matsuda said.<\/p>\n<p>With a goal of making his own national team in Japan, Matsuda joined the club this year and started notching some impressive results.
