The only other artists to receive this honor are Marty Robbins (1969), Loretta Lynn (1979), Alabama (1988), Garth Brooks (1998) and George Strait (2008).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cmt.com\/newsartists\/luke-combs\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Luke Combs<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cmt.com\/newsartists\/lanco\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">LANCO<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cmt.com\/newsartists\/ashley-mcbryde\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Ashley McBryde<\/a> were also early winners heading into the 2019 ceremony.
