Crews working with the White River National Forest will be replacing a deteriorating bridge over Deep Creek on the Coffee Pot Road northwest of Dotsero starting later this week.<\/p>\n
Construction is set to occur between Aug. 1 and Sept. 15, according to a Forest Service press release.<\/p>\n
A temporary road closure prohibiting motorized travel is in effect on 700.1 road, near the Deep Lake access road, according to the release.<\/p>\n
There is an established detour route at the Blair Mountain Road (National Forest System Road 601) to Heart Lake Road (National Forest System Road 630).<\/p>\n
Access to Deep Lake and the campground remain open, according to the release.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe appreciate people\u2019s patience with the temporary road closure while crews accomplish the bridge replacement,\u201d Eagle-Holy Cross Ranger District Ranger Aaron Mayville said in the release. \u201cThis project is part of an ongoing Forest Service program to replace aging infrastructure and ensure public safety.\u201d<\/p>\n
Forest travelers are urged to use caution while traveling in the area and to respect all road closures, he said.<\/p>\n
