But Kix Brooks is making it sound pretty damn effortless.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"instagram-media\" data-instgrm-captioned data-instgrm-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/B0pAHLjAfYj\/\" data-instgrm-version=\"12\"><\/blockquote>\n<p>In an anniversary post to his wife Barbara, Brooks tells the story of the night before his wedding and the 38 years since.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c38 years later still married to the world\u2019s sexiest roadie,\u201d Brooks wrote. \u201cWe went to my bachelor party together \u2014 kissed goodnight \u2014 at which point I continued to party \u2019til the sun came up \u2014 went water skiing at daylight and promptly ran out of gas \u2014 some poor dude trying to catch a fish towed me to a friend\u2019s camp where I passed out \u2019til I woke up and said \u2019damn, I\u2019ve got to go get married\u2019 \u2014 I slid in sideways to my favorite spot looking over a swamp called Bistineau and met the prettiest girl I\u2019d ever seen to say I will for the rest of my life \u2014 takes a special woman to put up with a knucklehead like me,\u201d Brooks said. \u201cI love you Barbara \u2014 Happy Anniversary!!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to her <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BarbaraDBrooks\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Twitter bio<\/a>, Mrs. Brooks is crazy about her husband and children (even her son who is not on Twitter), and that she is seriously addicted to showing cutting horses.<\/p>\n<p>On Instagram, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/barbaradbrooks\/?hl=en\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">she shares<\/a> her own story of how Brooks fell into her life: \u201cIn 1979, living in Maine, I met a wonderful, crazy man from Louisiana and we made a Life.
