{"id":1315047,"date":"2019-09-26T20:36:00","date_gmt":"2019-09-27T02:36:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.postindependent.com\/sunlight-seeks-videos-for-4th-annual-winter-stoke-film-festival\/"},"modified":"2019-09-26T20:36:00","modified_gmt":"2019-09-27T02:36:00","slug":"sunlight-seeks-videos-for-4th-annual-winter-stoke-film-festival","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alwaysmountaintime.com\/kske\/local-news\/sunlight-seeks-videos-for-4th-annual-winter-stoke-film-festival\/","title":{"rendered":"Sunlight seeks videos for 4th annual Winter Stoke Film Festival"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">Sunlight Mountain Resort is inviting local filmmakers to submit their best winter videos to be featured in the fourth annual Winter Stoke Film Festival.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">The film festival, produced in conjunction with the nonprofit True Media Foundation of Carbondale, highlights a series of locally produced short videos followed by feature ski movies by Warren Miller Entertainment and Matchstick Productions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">This year local videographers have a chance to win $1,500 in cash prizes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">This year\u2019s deadline for entries is Oct. 1.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">Filmmakers are asked to submit outdoor adventure videos that \u201cget us stoked for winter,\u201d according to the release. Three finalists are chosen for each Winter Stoke venue, and the audience votes for their favorite film.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">New this year all finalists receive a cash prize. Here\u2019s the purse:<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">\u2022 1st Place: Golden Boot Award + Sunlight Season Pass + $400<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">\u2022 2nd Place: $250 + 2 lift tickets<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">\u2022 3rd Place: $100 + 2 lift tickets<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">Winter Stoke Film Festival travels to these venues on the following dates:<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">\u2022 Nov. 16: Vaudeville Theatre, Glenwood Springs<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">\u2022 Nov. 23: Third Street Center, Carbondale<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText BoldIntro\">How to enter: Videos must be less than three minutes long. Submit videos by emailing a YouTube link to <a href=\"mailto:submit@winterstoke.org\">submit@winterstoke.org<\/a>. The deadline to enter is Tuesday, Oct. 1.
