Not only did Mullins and his band cop the entertainer of the year trophy, they also shared the collaborative recording prize with Del McCoury for \u201cThe Guitar Song.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"deferred_content\">Embedded from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/cHDH-nNsoDo?feature=oembed\">www.youtube.com<\/a>. <noscript class=\"deferred_content\" data-deferred-info=\"{&quot;type&quot;:&quot;iframe&quot;}\"><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/cHDH-nNsoDo?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\">[embedded content]<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><\/noscript><\/div>\n<p>Unlike in years past, no one act swept the awards.<\/p>\n<p>McCoury, who co-hosted the event with Jim Lauderdale, also won the top album nod for <em>Del McCoury Still Sings Bluegrass<\/em>. Billy Strings was voted best new artist and guitar player of the year.<\/p>\n<p>Michael Cleveland took the top fiddle player honor, and he and his band, Flamekeeper, won as best instrumental group.
