The owner had surveillance footage showing a young man in a man bun leaving with the items.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">An anonymous source identified the suspect after police posted screenshots of the footage online.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">When police arrived at the man\u2019s house, they saw the missing speaker easily visible through the window of a parked car.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">Inside the house, residents shown photos by the police ID\u2019ed the man as their son.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">The suspect told police he had taken the speaker, as well as soda and $5, but knew what he did was wrong and planned to turn himself in, according to the affidavit.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">The police arrested him.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText Subhead\">Enticement of a child<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">A 48-year-old man was arrested Sept. 29 for allegedly talking to an 8-year-old boy with an autism spectrum disorder about touching his genitalia.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">A West Glenwood gas station employee called around 5 p.m. to report a man harassing customers, according to court documents.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">The suspect had been loitering around the store all night, according to a Glenwood Springs Police officer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">The 8-year-old and his father had stopped at the gas station and noticed the man. They left, but returned to the store for snacks, the father told police.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">When the father went inside, the suspect approached the RV and was seen talking to the boy. The clerk told the father that a \u201cweird guy\u201d was approaching the RV where the boy was.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">The father told police that he went outside, and as he approached the RV he heard the suspect say the word \u201cpenis.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">The father became upset and shoved the suspect away. The boy was visibly distressed, and due to his autism could not describe what happened, according to the affidavit.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">The suspect told police that he was \u201cabsolutely not\u201d talking about body parts, and that he was \u201cjust saying hi\u201d to the boy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">The suspect was arrested on charges of enticing a child, a class 4 felony.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText Subhead\">Trespassing in a cop\u2019s house<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">A 28-year-old man walked into a Silt Police officer\u2019s Rifle house, apparently high on several drugs, and walked out with trespassing, burglary and weapons charges.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">Rifle police were called to the off-duty Silt officer\u2019s house around 6 p.m. Sept. 29. When they arrived, the Silt officer, who was home with his wife and children, said the young man had entered the back door of the house claiming to work for an energy company.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">The Silt officer wasn\u2019t expecting any electrical work.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">The wife asked what the man was doing, and he said he was there for an electrical job and tried to go upstairs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">The off-duty officer contacted the young man, according to documents.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">When Rifle police arrived, the young man told them he was blacked out on Etizolam, which can have hypnotic effects in high doses, and Smirnoff.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">He told police he didn\u2019t know how he got to the house.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">Rifle police found methamphetamine, four small bottles of Smirnoff, one empty, and hallucinogenic drugs TCB and DMT, and brass knuckles in the man\u2019s pockets.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">He was charged with burglary, trespass and possession of a dangerous weapon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText Subhead\">Feds take over 100 pounds of meth case<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">Federal prosecutors have taken over the case against a man arrested in Glenwood Springs with 93 pounds of methamphetamine hidden in his minivan.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">Esquivel-Tecalco was taken into federal custody Tuesday, and he entered a plea of not guilty in the Colorado district of federal court Friday, according to court records.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">Many documents in the case are restricted, but the federal judge ordered Friday Esquivel-Tecalco remain in custody.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">Ninth District Attorney Jeff Cheney said that local prosecutors agreed to hand over the prosecution of Esquivel-Tecalco.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">\u201cOur office coordinated with the United States Attorney and consented to their taking jurisdiction and prosecution of Mr. Esquivel-Tecalco.
