Lawrence Convention Center, Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2019, in Pittsburgh.<\/strong><br \/><em>AP Photo\/Evan Vucci<\/em><\/figcaption><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>WASHINGTON (AP) \u2014 President Donald Trump\u2019s boast of building part of the border wall in Colorado is garnering attention in the state, including from the state\u2019s governor, Democrat Jared Polis.<\/p>\n<p>Trump was speaking Wednesday to an audience in Pennsylvania when he included Colorado in a list of states where the border wall is being constructed, along with New Mexico and Texas.<\/p>\n<p>The president said: \u201cWe\u2019re building a wall in Colorado, we\u2019re building a beautiful wall, a big one that really works, that you can\u2019t get over, you can\u2019t get under.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Of course, Colorado doesn\u2019t share a border with Mexico, which Polis, and others on social media noted.<\/p>\n<p>Polis tweeted: \u201cWell this is awkward \u2026Colorado doesn\u2019t border Mexico. Good thing Colorado now offers free full day kindergarten so our kids can learn basic geography.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Early Thursday, Trump tweeted that he made the comment about Colorado and the wall \u201ckiddingly\u201d and said people in Colorado would benefit from the wall on the border<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.postindependent.com\/news\/trump-includes-colorado-in-states-getting-border-wall\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">via:: Post Independent<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>President Donald Trump speaks at the 9th annual Shale Insight Conference at the David L.
