They\u2019re kind of at the same place: a bar. They are here alone. So they figure, why not drown some sorrows together?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>What Underwood loves about the song, she says, is that throughout this misery-loves-company storyline, the girl doesn\u2019t ever need an assist from a knight in shining armor. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s this independence about the woman that\u2019s very much like, \u2019I don\u2019t need you. You don\u2019t need me. This isn\u2019t a thing. I\u2019m not gonna go home with you. Let\u2019s just kind of drink and forget,&#8217;\u201d she says.
