I don\u2019t believe this! The single appears on Rucker\u2019s Gold-certified, No. 1 album <em>True Believers<\/em>, and has accumulated over 960 million global streams. \u201cWagon Wheel\u201d also won a Grammy for Best Country Solo Performance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEven in my wildest dreams for \u2018Wagon Wheel,\u2019 the singer was never me or Bob,\u201d Secor stated. \u201cIt could have been a lot of different people who had the big hit with it. It could have been one of those perfect-smile guys with the made-for-TV personalities. He said, \u2018Hey man, do you know that song \u2018Wagon Wheel?\u2019 I just watched a band full of kids perform it, and it reminded me of how great that song is, and I want to cut it.\u2019 I said, \u2018You\u2019re crazy,\u2019 to which he said, \u2018Well I\u2019m cuttin\u2019 it! I\u2019ll talk to you later!\u2019 We (the label) thought that this was going to either be huge\u2026 or a disaster. He was right, everybody\u2019s happy, life is good!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn behalf of RIAA, we\u2019re so pleased to mark such an amazing accomplishment,\u201d said Jackie Jones, Vice President of Industry Relations at the Recording Industry Association of America. \u201cA certification of this magnitude is incredibly rare \u2014 occurring only a few times in our organization\u2019s history.
