Councilor Charlie Willman will also be in attendance to listen to residents.<\/strong><br \/><em>Chelsea Self \/ Post Independent<\/em><\/figcaption><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>The second installment of \u2018Coffee with Council\u2019 is slated to begin at 8 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 20 in the Glenwood Springs Community Center, 100 Wulfsohn Road.<\/p>\n<p>Coffee with Council kicked off in January to allow residents the opportunity to have more casual, one-on-one conversations with their locally elected officials.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, each installment will occur at a different location and include two members of city council.<\/p>\n<p>Mayor Jonathan Godes and Mayor Pro Tem Shelley Kaup chatted with constituents at the Bluebird Caf\u00e9 for the inaugural Coffee with Council last month.<\/p>\n<p>Councilors Paula Stepp and Charlie Willman will participate in this month\u2019s Coffee with Council at the Community Center.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCome tell us what\u2019s important to you,\u201d Stepp said. \u201cThere are a lot of conversations that I\u2019m open to talking to people about to get their perspectives.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Stepp said she hoped to hear constituents\u2019 opinions concerning Sixth Street, the confluence and affordable housing in particular.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s a huge issue for me,\u201d Stepp said of affordable housing in Glenwood Springs. \u201cHow do people feel about the housing situation and the opportunities here and what can be done.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em><a href=\"mailto:mabennett@postindependent.com\">mabennett@postindependent.com<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.postindependent.com\/news\/glenwood-residents-invited-to-talk-about-local-issues-at-thursdays-coffee-with-council\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">via:: Post Independent<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Paula Stepp, who was sworn in as a Glenwood Springs City Councilor last year will participate in this Thursday&#8217;s Coffee with Council.
