When Sam Hunt was Skyping with CMT\u2019s Hot 20<\/em> to talk about his new album Southside<\/em>, we couldn\u2019t help but ask about more than just the music. And what we found out is just how the coronavirus pandemic was impacting Hunt\u2019s life right now, and what he\u2019s doing to stay busy during the self-quarantine. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not an extreme introvert,\u201d Hunt shared with Hot 20<\/em>. \u201cI like to be social to get out and about, but I can definitely thrive on my own, tucked in at the house. So I\u2019m OK. I\u2019m content for now.\u201d<\/p>\n

Then we asked Hunt to share what his typical, new-normal days are like. <\/p>\n

These are his Quarantine Confessions:<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. He is making himself more peanut butter and honey sandwiches. <\/p>\n

2. His morning wardrobe \u2014 until about 10:30 a.m. \u2014 has been sweat pants and hoodies. <\/p>\n

3. His dogs are getting more attention. \u201cI\u2019ve spent a lot more time with the dogs than I have in a while. So it\u2019s been nice. I have a little puppy named Copper. He\u2019s a German short-haired pointer. And I\u2019ve been trying to train him, work with him a little bit.\u201d<\/p>\n

4. He\u2019s been connecting with friends and family more (while he\u2019s maintaining his social distance). \u201cI\u2019ve been catching up with old buddies, talking to my mom, my grandmother, my brother. Shoot, I\u2019ve probably had 10 to 15 calls a day, and that\u2019s going from maybe one or two calls a day.\u201d<\/p>\n

5. His boat is almost seaworthy. \u201cI cleaned the boat. I bought this little boat about two years ago and I\u2019ve not been able to take it out, it\u2019s just that it\u2019s been full of leaves right now and water. So I finally got to pull the plug. Drained it. Got the leaves out. So that\u2019s as far as I\u2019ve gotten.\u201d<\/p>\n
