The event flier says, \u201cConsider a Wi-Fi connection and Zoom as the new shared table; your computer as the new place setting, where you entertain separately but together. And just enjoy the weirdness\/awkwardness\/p\u00e4ntsdrunkenness of it all.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">The what?<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">According to \u201cP\u00e4ntsdrunk: The Finnish Path to Relaxation,\u201d p\u00e4ntsdrunk means drinking at home, alone, in your underwear. So be careful where your computer camera is pointing. What happens on Zoom may not stay on Zoom.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">Some diners may opt to eat quietly, while others may boisterously skoal at the beginning of each course.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">\u201cI have no idea what to expect. I\u2019d like there to be some degree of interaction,\u201d Fisher said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">Wouldn\u2019t it be \u2026 noisy? \u201cAs host, we have the ability to mute participants. But then, wouldn\u2019t a cacophony of clinking be kinda good? It is, after all, about dining together,\u201d Fisher said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">And he is decidedly unconcerned about things going awry. \u201cI kinda like the idea of losing control of things,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">Sounds like this meal may require seat belts.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">Tickets are limited to 50 couples, and Fisher said sales are strong. \u201cWe should be able to fill all the seats at the table.\u201d So to speak. \u201cIn-house dinners typically sell out at 90 guests,\u201d Fisher said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">The meal itself is the Roaring Fork Beer Company \u201cvirtual\u201d beermakers dinner, with RFBC brewmaster Chase Engel talking about how the beers pair with each of the four courses, such as the dessert of Salty Chocolate 2-Minute Microwave Cake and Earl Grey Ice Cream paired with Dark Corners Variant Stout. We thought it might be more approachable to simplify things,\u201d Fisher said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">At $80 per couple, the price is lower as well. \u201cIt\u2019s less than our typical dinner.
