The Colorado Creative Industries (CCI) division announced last week that it will contribute $127,500 to the Colorado Artist Relief Fund to support artists, musicians and other creatives financially impacted by COVID-19.<\/p>\n

\u201cArts and culture makes up 4.5% of the state\u2019s GDP,\u201d Margaret Hunt, director of Colorado Creative Industries, said in a news release. \u201cIt is important for Colorado\u2019s creative workers to have access to essential funding during this economic interruption.\u201d<\/p>\n

Grants of up to $1,000 can help cover basic needs such as food, rent, medical costs and childcare, she said.<\/p>\n

The CCI operates as a division of the state\u2019s Office of Economic Development and International Trade.<\/p>\n
