Not even a pandemic was going to prevent Dan LeVan and other members of American Legion Post 83 from honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. <\/p>\n

On the Friday before Memorial Day each year, LeVan\u2019s father \u2014 Dan H. LeVan \u2014 always placed American flags on the gravesites of fallen service members throughout Rosebud Cemetery in Glenwood Springs. <\/p>\n

When LeVan\u2019s dad died in 2007, he made it a point to carry on the tradition that was so near and dear to his father\u2019s heart for decades. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt is an honor,\u201d LeVan said.<\/p>\n
