Building more units near the Middle Creek Village apartments is one of the options to the Booth Creek housing plan being examined by town of Vail officials.<\/strong>

Town of Vail officials for the past few months have been looking for alternatives to the Booth Heights housing project<\/a> in East Vail. Nothing\u2019s been decided, but some options have been found.<\/p>\n

The decision to look for options also included a directive to work with Vail Resorts, which owns the 23.3-acre site in East Vail, and Triumph Development, which proposed the plan for a total of 49 deed-restricted rental and for-sale homes on the site. The plan also included 12 free-market townhomes.<\/p>\n

The town has presented an option for an alternative site to Vail Resorts and Triumph, but that site hasn\u2019t yet been identified in public documents.<\/p>\n

Vail Housing Director George Ruther on Tuesday updated the Vail Town Council about progress made on the search for alternatives.<\/p>\n
