Frankie Ballard<\/a> has released the video for his latest single, \u201cYoung & Crazy<\/a>.\u201d The song is from his Top 5 Sunshine & Whiskey<\/em> album, which was released last year.<\/p>\n

The video, which shows Ballard performing live on stage with his band, corresponds well with the song\u2019s lyrics, which say, \u201cOne day, I\u2019ll slow and lay down \/ Spend my weekends in a swing out on the wraparound \/ Oh, but these days, I\u2019m on a mission \/ To get these wild oats out of my system \u2026 I wanna sit out on the porch \/ Telling stories \u2019bout my glory days when I\u2019m pushing 80 \/ How am I ever gonna get to be old and wise \/ If I ain\u2019t ever young and crazy?<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s fitting that the video was shot while Ballard was touring<\/a>, since it was his live shows that influenced much of Sunshine & Whiskey<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis music was born on the road,\u201d he says<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019m the product of going out and making it happen, finding out what works. My influences fall everywhere from Bob Seger<\/a> to Howlin\u2019 Wolf to Jerry Reed, and through the years, it\u2019s all come together in my songwriting and playing. People who listen are going to hear me from top to bottom.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sunshine & Whiskey<\/em>, an 11-track album, covers a wide range of feelings and experiences for the 32-year-old.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m really proud of this,\u201d he notes<\/a>. \u201cIt\u2019s got songs that really mean something to me and that I knew would mean something to other people. It\u2018s got lots of different emotions, from partying and having fun to some really deep stuff. It\u2019s an emotional journey as well as a musical journey.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ballard is certainly getting plenty of chances to live up to the \u201cYoung & Crazy\u201d motto. He\u2019s currently on the road, serving as the opening act for Florida Georgia Line<\/a>\u2018s\u00a0Anything Goes Tour<\/a>.
