The main ranch is located on 40 beautiful acres near Fairplay and offers individual rehabilitation pens as well as cross fenced pastures with shelters and a stream. Some horses are located at the Breckenridge Equestrian Center in the summer months. The organization’s vision is finding each rescued horse, a successful partnership with new owners, through caring youth and adult volunteers plus horsemanship education. www.FarViewHorseRescue.com

Animal Rescue of the Rockies was founded in Summit County in 2003 to provide foster and adoptive homes for homeless dogs and cats as an alternative to shelter housing. ARR expanded its operations in 2009 to include the entire Front Range area. In 2012, over 550 dogs and 150 cats were successfully adopted into forever homes after being pulled from overcrowded shelters where most were in danger of being euthanized. All of ARR’s pets are spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, and vaccinated before adoption. ARR recently signed a long-term lease on 160 acres of mountain property west of Fort Collins to establish a “halfway house” for pets pulled from shelters before they’re placed in foster homes. ARR also operates a Cat Casita adoption center in Fairplay, Colorado

that houses up to 15 orphaned cats in a cage-free playroom.
