We hadn\u2019t heard his name before he called our station on the long drive home to Durango, Colorado from his most recent gig. Tyller Gummersall came by for a surprise visit to the Ski Country Tune Shop and left us wanting more. There\u2019s something unexpected about the sound\u00a0that comes from this kind and respectful Colorado artist. His presence is unimposing but his voice takes you by surprise and commands your attention. It’s something that comes from within, something that cannot be trained, and something that we don\u2019t hear regularly in mainstream country music anymore\u2014the days of Garth Brooks voices are past but it\u2019s our hope that artists like Tyller Gummersall can bring an original version of that sound back!<\/p>\n

Gummersall at 25 years old has a sound and presence that lead you to believe he\u2019s been working at music for a much longer lifetime. Though his career did start at eight years old when he got his first guitar and his first performance at the County Fair Talent contest! He was recently featured in the June\/July Cowboys & Indians Magazine<\/em><\/a>, has opened for artists like Cole Swindell, and plans to spend the summer touring through Colorful Colorado!

\nIn our Ski Country Tune Shop Tyller played a couple songs from his latest album Long Ride Home<\/em> including \u201cRocky Mountain Man\u201d and \u201cKiss Me\u201d and these happen to be our favorites!
