The former Blink-182 member is adapting his graphic novel for TBS.<\/p>\n
Former Blink-182 member Tom DeLonge is developing his own TV show based on his alien-based graphic novel ‘Strange Times’.<\/p>\n
Variety reports that the series is in development at US cable station TBS with DeLonge describing the concept as “science-fiction Disney”:<\/p>\n
“This is a dream I’ve had for over 10 years and it’s finally a reality. All the stories and themes I work on are meant to be shared through multiple mediums and on different platforms \u2014 film, TV, books, music and so on.” he told Variety.<\/p>\n
“‘Strange Times’ began as an interactive website where people shared weird, paranormal stories \u2014 a lot of them with credible evidence. That helped inspire the story behind the graphic novel and also a prose novel that I published. This is exactly what my company To The Stars Academy of Arts and Science does.”<\/p>\n
When asked about the soundtrack, Tom added that he would love to include music by the likes of Bad Religion, New Order and The Descendents.<\/p>\n
No potential air date for the show has been released yet but keep an eye out on TBS over the next year for ‘Strange Times’.<\/p>\n
