The singer belted over acoustic guitars and a studious rhythm section, even breaking out a harmonica for a few folky fills.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>\u201cIs it a crazy thought\/ That if I had a child\/ I hope they live to see the day\/ When everyone\u2019s equal?\u201d she sang.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHere Comes the Change\u201d is set to appear in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/movies\/movie-news\/on-the-basis-of-sex-watch-first-trailer-for-ruth-bader-ginsburg-biopic-699580\/\"><strong><em>On the Basis of Sex<\/em><\/strong><\/a>, the upcoming movie about Supreme Court Justice <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/ruth-bader-ginsburg\/\"><strong>Ruth Bader Ginsburg<\/strong><\/a>. The film, out December 25th, stars Felicity Jones as a young Ginsburg, who combats gender equality by bringing a case to the U.S. Court of Appeals.<\/p>\n<p>The film\u2019s director, Mimi Leder, recruited Kesha for the project. \u201cI wanted her to write this song because her passionate voice and immense talent magnify the social justice imperatives Ruth Bader Ginsburg continues to fight for every day,\u201d Leder said in a statement. \u201cIt was important to both of us that this song be not only an anthem to all that Ruth Bader Ginsburg achieved, but also a rallying cry for how much more change is yet to come.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kesha saluted Ginsburg in the song\u2019s October-issued <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/kesha-ruth-bader-ginsburg-here-comes-the-change-video-746701\/\">video<\/a>, which finds the singer playing multiple instruments \u2013 including acoustic guitar, harmonica and kick drum \u2013\u00a0as she wanders through a regal home.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/kesha-here-comes-the-change-ellen-768001\/\" target=\"_blank\">via:: Rolling Stone<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kesha performed her equal rights ballad \u201cHere Comes the Change\u201d on Wednesday\u2019s Ellen.
