Rivers Cuomo<\/a> has unveiled the quirky new video for \u201cTwo Broken Hearts,\u201d the latest solo track from the Weezer<\/a> frontman. The acoustic ditty tells the story of two people forming a relationship after exiting breakups; \u201cYou bring H\u00e4agen-Dazs, I got HBO \/ Laughing through our tears, that\u2019s what friends are for,\u201d Cuomo sings.<\/p>\n

The DIY visual takes a literal approach to the song\u2019s lyrics, using Bitmoji figures and candid video footage of Cuomo drinking water bottles and dancing to bring the lyrics to life.<\/p>\n

\u201cStanding on stage and being cheered on by thousands upon thousands of people is the best feeling in the whole world,\u201d Cuomo wrote of the track on YouTube. \u201cI cry from happiness\u2026literally.\u201d The singer added, \u201cSong available now in a Kmart near you,\u201d but it\u2019s currently just available on iTunes.<\/p>\n

\u201cTwo Broken Hearts\u201d marks Cuomo\u2019s second solo song of 2018, following the March release of \u201cMedicine for Melancholy.<\/a>\u201d It remains unclear whether these solo tracks are one-off singles or if Cuomo is plotting a solo release after Weezer\u2019s self-titled \u201cBlack Album\u201d arrives<\/a> on March 1st, 2019.<\/p>\n

Weezer was the unlikely focus of a recent Saturday Night Live<\/em>\u00a0sketch<\/a> that found Leslie Jones\u2019 purist fan debated the merits of the band\u2019s newer catalog with \u201cride-or-die\u201d devotee Matt Damon. The sketch became a viral sensation, and while Cuomo was surprised SNL<\/em> dedicated a whole segment to Weezer, the singer told Rolling Stone<\/em><\/a> he hadn\u2019t actually seen the sketch yet.<\/p>\n
