The band recorded <em>Sleep<\/em> <em>Live at Third Man Records<\/em> at the label\u2019s Nashville headquarters in December, months after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-features\/black-sabbath-and-indica-weed-inside-the-grand-return-of-stoner-metal-heroes-sleep-629268\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">their surprise return<\/a> after a 15-year break with <em>The Sciences<\/em>, recently ranked as one of <em>Rolling Stone<\/em>\u2018s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-lists\/50-best-albums-2018-764071\/sleep-the-sciences-3-764171\/\">50 Best Albums of 2018<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The quadruple album, which is pressed on four vinyl discs colored blue, green, orange and purple, includes songs from throughout Sleep\u2019s career. The package also includes a reproduction show poster and a \u201cmystery mission patch\u201d; it\u2019s available to fans who sign up for the Third Man vault series by January 31st. This is the 39th entry in the series, which has previously offered exclusive vinyl pressings of studio and live recordings by label founder Jack White and his many projects (the White Stripes, the Raconteurs, the Dead Weather), as well as records by Pearl Jam, Captain Beefheart and more.<\/p>\n<p>Singer and bassist Al Cisneros <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-features\/black-sabbath-and-indica-weed-inside-the-grand-return-of-stoner-metal-heroes-sleep-629268\/\">told <em>Rolling Stone<\/em><\/a> last year that inspirations for Sleep\u2019s comeback included Black Sabbath and \u201cprobably a lot of weed. Weed and science fiction, kind of like always. We don\u2019t take it too seriously.
