Zayn Malik<\/a> explores love, loss and rebirth through the visual telling of a tragic love story in his new video for \u201cSatisfaction.\u201d The ballad appears on his sophomore studio album,\u00a0Icarus Falls<\/em>, which was released last month.<\/p>\n

While Zayn only appears briefly in the Bouha Kazmi-directed clip, the narrative aptly captures the spirit of the song\u2019s sentiment, where fulfillment is ultimately achieved through love. \u201cWe can\u2019t get no satisfaction alone\/\u2019Cause I can\u2019t, you can\u2019t, we can\u2019t get no satisfaction,\u201d Zayn croons. \u201cAll in my zone, all in my space\/Life is always in the way\/As you try your best to pull away\/Something surges, urges you to stay.\u201d<\/p>\n

The video opens by echoing the words featured in his 2016 debut studio album, Mind of Mine<\/em>: \u201cUntil the flower of this love has blossomed this heart won\u2019t be at peace.\u201d The words set the tone for the rich visuals, which portray the story of a couple\u2019s relationship, through flashbacks on their loving past and the devastating tragedy that ensues. The clip culminates on a hopeful note of rebirth.<\/p>\n

The 27-song Icarus Falls<\/em> houses \u201cGood Years<\/a>\u201d alongside a bevy of singles that were released before the album bowed in December, including \u201cNo Candle No Light<\/a>\u201d with Nicki Minaj, \u201cLet Me<\/a>,\u201d \u201cToo Much<\/a>\u201d featuring Timbaland, \u201cFingers<\/a>\u201d and \u201cEntertainer<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n
