In concert, it\u2019s remained one of the band\u2019s most complex live songs, with up to three drummers working at a time on its tricky rhythms. So it\u2019s fascinating to see bandleader <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/thom-yorke\/\" id=\"auto-tag_thom-yorke\" data-tag=\"thom-yorke\">Thom Yorke<\/a> perform a solo piano version of the song in his new YouTube playlist,\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=C8RllKVvfR4&amp;list=PLdtKvTp4KHlttW6-WXhqn6ra-alS3Qbja\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Live from Electric Lady Studios<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Filmed on November 19th at the historic New York studio, the clip shows Yorke playing \u201cBloom\u201d as a simple blues. With just his bare voice (\u201cSo why does this still hurt?\/Don\u2019t blow your mind with why\u201d), his jazzy piano chords, and some light feedback burbling in the background, you can hear the heart of the song more clearly than ever. It\u2019s a gorgeous act of reinterpretation, the kind of performance that can make you rethink your entire understanding of a song.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"embed-youtube\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" type=\"text\/html\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/EdmL835q9To?version=3&amp;enablejsapi=1&amp;origin=https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com&amp;rel=1&amp;fs=1&amp;autohide=2&amp;showsearch=0&amp;showinfo=1&amp;iv_load_policy=1&amp;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\">[embedded content]<\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/x-l-r.co\/tyelectriclady.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">four-song playlist<\/a> also includes excellent, intimate performances of \u201cSuspirium,\u201d \u201cUnmade\u201d and \u201cOpen Again,\u201d all from Yorke\u2019s 2018 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-album-reviews\/thom-yorke-suspiria-soundtrack-review-746730\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Suspiria<\/em> soundtrack<\/a>.
