The singer\u2019s fourth studio album arrives one year after his most recent effort,\u00a0<em>Between Two Shores<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>As heard on the lead single \u201cI\u2019ll Be You, Be Me,\u201d which features the singer whispering of a slow-building dissonant orchestral arrangement, Hansard\u2019s latest marks a slight musical departure from the more straightforward blend of singer-songwriter folk and r&amp;b\/roots that he\u2019s cultivated on his recent solo efforts.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"embed-youtube\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" type=\"text\/html\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/AoRyEAUyFRo?version=3&amp;enablejsapi=1&amp;origin=https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com&amp;rel=1&amp;fs=1&amp;autohide=2&amp;showsearch=0&amp;showinfo=1&amp;iv_load_policy=1&amp;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\">[embedded content]<\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The album was written largely during the recording sessions, which took place at France\u2019s Black Box Studios.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis collection of songs is mainly made up of those that came through while improvising and following the melodic lines and threads,\u201d Hansard said in a statement. \u201cSometimes when you take a small musical fragment and you care for it, follow it and build it up slowly, it can become a thing of wonder.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hansard will be touring Europe throughout this spring.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/glen-hansard-this-wild-willing-ill-be-you-be-me-780482\/\" target=\"_blank\">via:: Rolling Stone<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Glen Hansard has announced details of his forthcoming studio album, This Wild Willing, set for release April 12th on Anti-.
