Drax Project have teamed with singer and actress Hailee Steinfeld<\/a> for the band\u2019s poppy new single \u201cWoke Up Late,\u201d which arrived Monday on digital streaming services.<\/p>\n

The New Zealand quartet, who has opened for artists like Lorde and Camila Cabello, also dropped the lyric video for their latest single.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2018Woke Up Late\u2019 is about wrapping your head around the adventure of the night before and ultimately deciding that you\u2019re cool with it. Given the nature of this story, it did cross our minds while writing it as to how it might work as a duet \u2013 with a female voice telling her side,\u201d Drax Project said in a statement.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re all huge big fans of \u2018Starving\u2019 and \u2018Let Me Go,\u2019\u00a0so were beyond stoked to get Hailee on song! She\u00a0absolutely kills it in movies and in music. We feel like having her vocals take both the sonics and the feel of the song to another level.\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition to her hit singles, Steinfeld recently starred in the Transformers<\/em> spinoff film Bumblebee<\/em><\/a> (which featured her track \u201cBack to Life\u201d<\/a>) and lent her voice to Spider-Gwen in the acclaimed Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n
