Jenny Lewis<\/a> explores unfulfilled desire on her alluring new song \u201cRed Bull & Hennessy.\u201d The track marks the first sample of her upcoming fourth solo LP, On the Line<\/em><\/a>, out March 22nd via Warner Bros. Records.<\/span><\/p>\n

The singer channels the groove of Fleetwood Mac\u2019s \u201cDreams\u201d throughout \u201cRed Bull & Hennessy,\u201d crooning over a steady, two-note bassline, rippling tremolo guitars and chiming piano melodies. \u201cI\u2019m about to be wicked\/You got me lying on my back\/Hallelu,\u201d she sings. \u201cAll will be forgiven, but why you gotta act like that \u2014 make me beg for you?\u201d The song climaxes with a lengthy, bluesy guitar solo.<\/span><\/p>\n

The single is available as an instant grat download with pre-orders of On the Line<\/em>, which follows her 2014 album, The Voyager<\/em><\/a>.\u00a0Per\u00a0Last.Fm<\/a>, Lewis debuted \u201cRed Bull & Hennessy\u201d onstage in August 2015 and performed it 12 times over the next year.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lewis also detailed the album\u2019s track list, though she didn\u2019t reveal which members of her all-star backing band \u2013 including Beck, Ringo Starr, Ryan Adams, Tom Petty keyboardist Benmont Tench, drummer Jim Keltner and Don Was \u2013\u00a0appear on which cut.<\/span><\/p>\n

The songwriter also expanded her recently announced On the Line<\/em> tour, adding a new run of opening dates for Death Cab for Cutie in June. The North American trek, preceded by a performance on Chris Thile\u2019s Live From Here variety show on February 1st, commences March 26th in Bloomington, Illinois.<\/span><\/p>\n
