On Wednesday, they confirmed it will be titled <a href=\"https:\/\/dontstoponbroadway.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"><em>Don\u2019t Stop \u2018Til You Get Enough.\u00a0<\/em><\/a>The production will have its out-of-town premiere in Chicago (beginning\u00a0<span class=\"s1\">October 29th and running<\/span><span class=\"s1\">\u00a0through December 1st<\/span><span class=\"s1\">) at the James M. Nederlander Theatre,\u00a0<\/span>before transferring to Broadway some time in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Lynn Nottage (<em>Sweat<\/em> in 2017, <em>Ruined<\/em> in 2009) will pen the book, and Tony-winning choreographer Christopher Wheeldon (<em>An American in Paris<\/em>) will direct and choreograph the show. The score will comprise hits from across Jackson\u2019s massive catalogue.<\/p>\n<p>The jukebox musical arrives after <em>The Cher Show<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/culture\/culture-news\/cher-broadway-musical-review-762842\/\">premiered on Broadway<\/a> this year and before <em>Ain\u2019t Too Proud \u2014 The Life and Times of the Temptations<\/em> is set to open this spring after playing to packed audiences in Toronto and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/entertainment\/arts\/theater\/reviews\/la-et-cm-aint-too-proud-review-20180826-story.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Los Angeles<\/a>. <em>Head Over Heels<\/em>, which used the music of the Go-Gos to tell an adaptation of a 16th-century poem, recently closed on Broadway as did a musical based on Jimmy Buffet\u2019s songbook, <em>Escape to Margaritaville<\/em>. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-features\/inside-the-new-wave-of-rock-musicals-198908\/\">These musicals<\/a> have mostly attracted fans who come for the familiar tunes in an unusual setting, rather than the often scattershot storytelling.<\/p>\n<p>The Jackson estate previously sanctioned two Cirque du Soleil shows, <em>Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour<\/em> and <em>Michael Jackson: One<\/em>.
