The James Cameron-produced movie hits theaters on February 14th.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cI can\u2019t lie \u2014 I\u2019m scared to open my eyes\/\u2019Cause what if I find nothing at all?\u201d Lipa croons over muted electronics, airy synths, stabbing brass samples and vocal chants. Later, she builds on that feeling of urgency in the pre-chorus: \u201cYou know the time is running, running out\/Only I see the diamonds, diamonds breaking down\/I won\u2019t stay quiet, I won\u2019t stay quiet\/\u2019Cause staying silent\u2019s the same as dying.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Lipa also stars in the song\u2019s video, set on the streets of the film\u2019s Iron City. The singer rummages through ruins, performs choreography and martial arts, runs from a massive robot and gazes into a mirror at the film\u2019s titular CGI protagonist.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The clip\u2019s director, Floria Sigismondi, said in a statement that she wanted the visual to tap into the film\u2019s themes of self-discovery. \u201cWhile in the film, Alita is quite literally on a journey to discover who she is,\u201d she said. \u201cHer story serves as a really powerful allegory for any girl who doesn\u2019t yet know her own power. I wanted to play with that same profound notion by dropping Dua into a facet of Alita\u2019s world and allowing Alita to serve as a surrogate that leads her on a journey to discover she\u2019s stronger than she ever could have imagined.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Following her debut LP, 2017\u2019s <em>Dua Lipa<\/em>, the singer has collaborated on singles with Calvin Harris (\u201cOne Kiss\u201d) and the Diplo-Mark Ronson project Silk City (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/song-you-need-to-know-dua-lipa-and-silk-city-electricity-722733\/\">\u201cElectricity\u201d<\/a>).
