{"id":792415,"date":"2019-01-26T09:57:29","date_gmt":"2019-01-26T16:57:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/?p=784984"},"modified":"2019-01-26T09:57:29","modified_gmt":"2019-01-26T16:57:29","slug":"see-conor-oberst-phoebe-bridgers-perform-better-oblivion-community-center-songs-on-cbs-this-morning","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alwaysmountaintime.com\/ksmt\/music-news\/see-conor-oberst-phoebe-bridgers-perform-better-oblivion-community-center-songs-on-cbs-this-morning\/","title":{"rendered":"See Conor Oberst, Phoebe Bridgers Perform \u2018Better Oblivion Community Center\u2019 Songs on \u2018CBS This Morning\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Screen-Shot-2019-01-26-at-8.37.03-AM1.png\" class=\"ff-og-image-inserted\"\/><\/div>\n<p>Following <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-features\/conor-oberst-phoebe-bridgers-better-oblivion-community-center-interview-783474\/\">the release of their surprise folk-pop project<\/a> Better Oblivion Community Center this week, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/conor-oberst\/\">Conor Oberst<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/phoebe-bridgers\/\">Phoebe Bridgers<\/a> staged a three-song performance on Saturday\u2019s <em>CBS This Morning<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Oberst, Bridgers and their band played a charming mini-concert of melodic tracks from their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-album-reviews\/conor-oberst-phoebe-bridgers-better-oblivion-community-center-review-783284\/\">self-titled album<\/a> including \u201cDylan Thomas,\u201d \u201cDidn\u2019t Know What I Was in For\u201d and \u201cMy City.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI just didn\u2019t want anyone to hear that we had a project, and know both of our music and make an assumption about what it sounded like,\u201d Bridgers revealed in an accompanying interview of their decision to keep the band a secret.
