Because it’s something that I think would definitely push us as a band and as musicians. It’s definitely a bucket list thing.”

Speaking on how the band will perform their new single ‘Numb Without You’ live without a string section, he shared “The strings will predominantly be a part of the track- so we’ll play to the strings for now. But it’s one of those things that’s like- if we dont have them in there the song’s gonna fall flat. For most of the ones that feature the strings Steve Jobs will play them, and we’ll figure it out from there.”

He also shared that The Maine have intentionally taken their new album more left-field, saying “We wanted to make it as manic as possible, without scaring people away.”

But John hasn’t been mulling over the album, preferring to leave it until it’s released at this point- “We’ve spent so much time with it, and I’ve purposely not listened to the songs because I know I’m going to have to play them for hopefully two years.”

Check out the full chat below:
[embedded content]

‘Are You Ok’ is set for release March 29 through 8123. Get all the details on that here.

via:: Rock Sound News

Yes please.
