The in-kind donations include use of the Silverthorne Pavilion, Recreation Center and town parks, and town leaders are more than happy to do it.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">&#8220;We are all really fortunate to live in a community that gives so much to its residents,&#8221; said Mayor Ann-Marie Sandquist. &#8220;It&#8217;s a great feeling for Silverthorne to be able to help these amazing nonprofit organizations carry on the important work that they do for all of us every day.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">The town participates in a collaborative grant process with other local governments within the county every year to create a more streamlined process for nonprofits. Amounts are determined by town council based on the potential benefits to Silverthorne residents and the nonprofits&#8217; past performances.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">Silverthorne also awards approximately $15,000 annually in college scholarships for high school seniors.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">Grant request applications are due in early August.
