ARE, Sweden \u2014 Anyone expecting Lindsey Vonn to take it easy in her last race should think again.<\/p>\n

Doesn\u2019t matter if she\u2019s still banged up from a crash with a black eye, a sore rib \u2014 not to mention the pain in both of her knees that forced her to move up her retirement.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhether I\u2019m ready or not,\u201d Vonn said. \u201cI\u2019m just going to go full throttle.\u201d<\/p>\n

It will be a fitting way to go out for the record-setting skier in Sunday\u2019s downhill at the world championships.<\/p>\n

Norwegian great Aksel Lund Svindal set the stage for Vonn by winning the silver medal in the men\u2019s downhill Saturday in his last race.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe didn\u2019t win 82 World Cups by being lucky,\u201d Svindal said. \u201cIf she gets a medal, it wouldn\u2019t surprise me at all. It just comes down to that one day and it has to happen tomorrow. Good luck!\u201d<\/p>\n

Vonn\u2019s 82 wins are the most all time by a female skier and trail only the 86 won by Swedish great Ingemark Stenmark.<\/p>\n

To honor Stenmark, Vonn will wear a race suit featuring the colors of the Swedish flag, blue and yellow.<\/p>\n

\u201cObviously we\u2019re in Sweden but also because of Stenmark and how much he has meant to the sport,\u201d Vonn said. \u201cIt\u2019s obviously something that has motivated me for a long time \u2014 his record \u2014 so I\u2019m just paying my respects to him and this country.\u201d<\/p>\n

Along with Vonn\u2019s dad, two of her siblings and one of her best friends, Stenmark will also be in attendance.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been texting him and he wasn\u2019t planning on being here and I was like, \u2018Please, please, please,\u2019 and so he\u2019s coming,\u201d Vonn said. \u201cI\u2019m really, really, really excited.\u201d<\/p>\n

As the 34-year-old Vonn performed interviews following downhill training Friday, a U.S. team member helped keep her muscles from tightening up with a cordless electrical vibration massage device. She\u2019s still recovering from her crash in super-G on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m really stiff,\u201d she said. \u201cThings are pulling in ways they shouldn\u2019t be pulling and sometimes my ribs come out. It\u2019s not something that\u2019s new to me. Usually I can manage to where it\u2019s not a problem.\u201d<\/p>\n

The downhill is scheduled to start at 12:30 p.m. local Swedish time and Vonn will be the third skier on course.<\/p>\n

A medal would bring Vonn full circle: Her two silvers at the 2007 worlds in Are were the first major championship successes of her career. She also won the downhill in Are at last year\u2019s World Cup finals.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have a lot of great memories in Are,\u201d Vonn said. \u201cI really feel Sweden feels like home to me, very similar like Minnesota, flat and cold. I love it, it\u2019s beautiful.\u201d<\/p>\n

Afterward, it will be time to celebrate.<\/p>\n

\u201cOh yeah,\u201d she said. \u201cFull on, full gas, all day.\u201d<\/p>\n
