Ariana Grande<\/a> continues to dominate streaming: The singer released<\/span> Thank U, Next<\/span><\/em> on Friday, and she currently has eight of the top 11 songs on Spotify<\/a>\u2019s global chart, and nine of the top 10 on its U.S. chart on Tuesday.<\/span><\/p>\n

Her singles lead the way. The top three tracks in both charts are \u201c7 Rings,\u201d which is still riding high in its third week as the most popular song in America<\/a>, the new release \u201cBreak Up With Your Girlfriend, I\u2019m Bored,\u201d which is off to a strong start<\/a> with close to eight million streams a day, and \u201cThank U, Next,\u201d which announced Grande\u2019s arrival as a streaming juggernaut<\/a> last fall.<\/span><\/p>\n

But listeners aren\u2019t just cherrypicking a few tracks from<\/span> Thank U, Next \u2014\u00a0<\/span><\/em>they\u2019re playing the whole thing. \u201cNeedy\u201d is at Number Five on Spotify\u2019s global chart, and it\u2019s followed closely by \u201cNASA\u201d (Number 7), \u201cBloodline\u201d (Number 8), \u201cBad Idea\u201d (Number 9) and \u201cFake Smile\u201d (Number 11). All told, those eight songs are being streamed over 40 million times daily on Spotify. In addition, Grande has another pair of tracks inside the Top 15, and the entire album is in the Top 25 globally.<\/span><\/p>\n

Grande\u2019s only competition at the moment comes from Post Malone, another artist with massive stream counts<\/a> \u2014 he launched nine different tracks from<\/span> beerbongs & bentleys<\/span><\/em> into the Top 20 on the Hot 100 during debut week \u2014 and, more surprisingly, Billie Eilish. Eilish\u2019s \u201cBury a Friend\u201d is being streamed more than four million a times a day, which is a good sign as she moves towards her debut album. But Grande\u2019s lead over Post and Eilish is remarkable: On Spotify, \u201c7 Rings\u201d is being streamed more than twice as many times a day as either \u201cWow\u201d or \u201cBury a Friend.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Grande\u2019s streaming numbers mean that, barring the death of the sun or a surprise release from Drake,<\/span> Thank U, Next<\/span><\/em> is almost certain to debut at Number One. Early projections suggest she could sell more than 325,000 album equivalent units. If she reaches that total, Grande will have achieved the biggest first week sales number since Lil Wayne released the long-awaited<\/span> Tha Carter V<\/span><\/em> last year.<\/span><\/p>\n
