Jenny Lewis<\/a> has issued a statement in response to the allegations of sexual misconduct and emotional abuse<\/a> against Ryan Adams<\/a>.<\/p>\n

On Friday, the \u201cHeads Gonna Roll\u201d<\/a> singer tweeted that she was \u201cdeeply troubled by Ryan Adams\u2019 alleged behavior,\u201d saying they had a \u201cworking relationship\u201d and that she stands \u201cin solidarity with the women who have come forward.\u201d<\/p>\n

I am deeply troubled by Ryan Adams\u2019 alleged behavior. Although he and I had a working professional relationship, I stand in solidarity with the women who have come forward.<\/p>\n

Adams previously produced Lewis\u2019 2014 album The Voyager<\/em><\/a> and provides contributions on her forthcoming album On the Line<\/em>. The duo previously toured together in 2015 and performed select U.S. dates together in 2017.<\/p>\n

Lewis isn\u2019t the only musician who collaborated with Adams to respond to the New York Times<\/em><\/a> report:\u00a0Liz Phair<\/a>, who had been working on a double album with Adams, also addressed the allegations on Twitter in response to a Twitter user saying her \u201cexperience was nowhere near as personally involving, but yes the record ended and the similarities are upsetting.\u201d<\/p>\n

Model-musician Karen Elson also revealed she had a \u201ctraumatizing experience\u201d with Adams in a now-deleted Instagram post. \u201cI\u2019m not quite brave enough yet to speak about my specifics,\u201d she wrote, according to Pitchfork<\/em><\/a>. She added, \u201cThe trauma that lingers is often a very powerful silencer of women as is the business that enables these men to thrive without ever facing consequences.\u201d<\/p>\n

Adams was accused of sexual misconduct and emotional abuse by seven women<\/a>, including ex-wife Mandy Moore<\/a> and musicians, Phoebe Bridgers<\/a> and Courtney Jaye, as well as an underage girl referred to as \u201cAva.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIf people knew they would say I was like R Kelley [sic] lol,\u201d Adams allegedly wrote via text message to \u201cAva.\u201d<\/p>\n

Adams was set to release his new album\u00a0Big Colors\u00a0<\/em>on April 19th, but it has since been pulled amid recent allegations.<\/a> The singer-songwriter planned to release two more records in 2019, but the status of them remains unknown.<\/p>\n
