Lady Gaga<\/a> has shut down rumors that she\u2019s expecting a child by revealing that she has a new album on the way. In a tweet, the singer confirmed that she is at work on her sixth album. \u201cRumors I\u2019m pregnant?\u201d she wrote on Twitter. \u201cYeah, I\u2019m pregnant with #LG6.\u201d The \u201cLG6\u201d is, of course, in reference to \u201cLady Gaga 6,\u201d the highly anticipated follow-up to 2016\u2019s Joanne<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The pregnancy rumors started after Gaga split with fiance Christian Carino and fans began to speculate that she was actually in love with A Star Is Born<\/em> collaborator Bradley Cooper<\/a>. Lady Gaga previously addressed<\/a> the reports that she and Cooper were in a relationship on Jimmy Kimmel Live<\/em> following the Oscars, where she won for Best Original Song for \u201cShallow.\u201d The duo performed an intimate rendition of \u201cShallow\u201d during the awards broadcast, prompting speculation that their love was for real. \u201cFirst of all\u2026 social media, quite frankly, is the toilet of the internet and what it\u2019s done to pop culture is abysmal,\u201d Gaga told Kimmel in response to the gossip. \u201cPeople saw love and, guess what, that\u2019s what we wanted to you to see. This is a love song.\u201d<\/p>\n

She also said that the performance followed a vision from Cooper, who shares a child with girlfriend Irina Shayk. \u201cFrom a performance perspective, it was so important to both of us that we were connected the entire time,\u201d Gaga told Kimmel. \u201cI\u2019ve had my arms wrapped around Tony Bennett for three years touring the world. When you\u2019re singing love songs, that\u2019s how you want people to feel.\u201d She added, \u201cI\u2019m an artist and I guess we did a good job. Fooled ya!\u201d<\/p>\n
