Another strong winter storm is headed across Colorado, with blizzard conditions expected across the state.<\/p>\n

According to the National Weather Service in Boulder, Summit County is forecasted to receive snow accumulations between 9 to 16 inches, with winds gusting as high as 60 mph. The heaviest snow and strongest winds will be during the day today, diminishing in the late afternoon or evening.<\/p>\n

At 8:30 a.m. officials with the county announced both Dillon Dam and Swan Mountain roads are closed due to adverse weather conditions.<\/p>\n

To the east, near zero visibilities are expected with wind gusts of up to 80 mph and up to a foot of snow on the plains east of a line from Greeley to Denver International Airport. Wednesday flights were canceled before snow even began falling<\/a> in anticipation of the storm. The storm warning lasts until noon Thursday.<\/p>\n

Travel could be very difficult during this time, the weather service warns, as the combination of wind and snow leads to poor visibility and road conditions, as well as the risk of wind damaging trees.<\/p>\n
