RuPaul<\/a>\u2019s Drag Race<\/em> alum Shangela lip-synced to a career-spanning medley of Beyonc\u00e9 songs at the GLAAD<\/a> Awards. Beyonc\u00e9 and her husband Jay-Z<\/a> received the Vanguard Award<\/a> at this year\u2019s ceremony.<\/p>\n

Shangela put her history of intensive dance performances and love for Beyonc\u00e9 to work on the GLAAD stage. The drag superstar was flanked by four crop top-wearing male dancers as she powered through a mixture of Destiny\u2019s Child and solo Beyonc\u00e9 hits, including \u201cBootylicious,\u201d \u201cPartition,\u201d \u201cSingle Ladies\u201d and \u201cFlawless.\u201d In the crowd, Beyonc\u00e9 was caught cheering throughout the medley and giving a standing ovation. She claimed during her acceptance speech that she had gotten a run in her stockings from cheering on Shangela.<\/p>\n

Beyonc\u00e9 and Jay-Z also paid tribute to their LGBTQ family members during their joint acceptance speech<\/a>. Jay-Z paid tribute to his mom Gloria Carter, a lesbian whose story he tells on his song \u201cSmile.\u201d Beyonc\u00e9 remembered her Uncle Johnny, a gay man who died from complications caused by HIV.<\/p>\n

Shangela most recently appeared on Season Three of RuPaul\u2019s Drag Race: All Stars<\/em> where she made the Top Four. She also had a supporting role in A Star Is Born<\/em> as the manager of the drag bar where Lady Gaga\u2019s character Ally performs.<\/p>\n
