He was preceded in death by his parents Myra and Denver, his twin Tim, as well as sisters Kathy, Joanne and Patricia. He is survived by his wife Gretchen, their children Cameron and Polly, sister Barbara and brother Todd, as well as his grandchildren Max and Audrey and numerous nephews and nieces.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">Thom was born April 20, 1947 in St. Louis, Missouri, and a heart attack took him April 2 of this year in Wilsonville. He graduated from Pattonville High School and attended Mizzou until Colorado pulled him west in the \u201960s.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">\u201cAbner,\u201d as he was known, was a gifted craftsman. He built or remodeled many residences in the Breckenridge area, and when he relocated to Nebraska, he took gardening and preserving food to new heights.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">He was a thoughtful, kind, stubborn, intelligent man who loved to laugh. Thom\u2019s generosity with his time and talents knew no bounds. He hunted and fished; he served on the town council that replaced the boardwalks on Main Street with sidewalks.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">A celebration of his life will be held at Carter Park in Breckenridge on April 20, 4-6 pm.
