A young man\u2019s addiction breeds madness in Iceage<\/a>\u2019s vivid new video for \u201cPain Killer,\u201d<\/a> their collaborative song with Sky Ferreira.<\/span><\/p>\n

The clip opens with the protagonist suffering an injury at a construction site. He wakes up in the hospital with a head injury, and the doctors hand over some painkillers before he reenters the world. From there, the character jumps off a bridge, floats in mid-air, frantically drives his car and repeatedly spits out pools of blood.<\/span><\/p>\n

Throughout are several animated, psychedelic interludes full of rainbows, butterflies and bloodshot eyes.<\/span> Ferreira pops up in a brief cameo, performing the song opposite Iceage in a grainy, VHS-quality split-screen.<\/p>\n

The horn-fueled \u201cPain Killer\u201d appears on the Danish post-punk band\u2019s fourth LP, 2018\u2019s Beyondless<\/em>, which also features the tracks \u201cUnder the Sun,\u201d<\/a> \u201cThe Day the Music Dies,\u201d<\/a> \u201cTake It All,\u201d<\/a> \u201cCatch It\u201d<\/a> and \u201cBroken Hours\u201d<\/a> (the latter a bonus track on the Japanese edition). Since issuing that album, they released the single \u201cBalm of Gilead\u201d<\/a> on a split seven-inch with previous tour mates the Black Lips.<\/span><\/p>\n

Iceage will continue to promote Beyondless<\/em> on a North American tour that kicks off Friday, April 12th in Las Vegas, Nevada.<\/span><\/p>\n
