Firefighters are still working on the scene, and no structures or lives are in danger.<\/p>\n<p>Fire and emergency responders have been dispatched to a wildland fire at a ranch in Silverthorne.<\/p>\n<p>The fire was reported at 12:30 p.m. and started on sage and grass between Blue River Valley Ranch and Angler Mountain Ranch, just east of the Blue River in northeast Silverthorne.<\/p>\n<p>Summit Fire &amp; EMS dispatched Batallion 8 and a few wildland units to the scene.<\/p>\n<p>The Summit County Sheriff\u2019s Office also responded to the scene, and reported observing a half-acre fire blowing over grassland. Sheriff Jaime FitzSimons reported that firefighters were working on the fire, and that no structures are threatened.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf it keeps burning up it\u2019ll probably burn into snow anyway,\u201d FitzSimons said. \u201cThere are no structures or trees nearby, just grass and sage.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The fire marks the opening of wildfire season in Summit County in 2019.
