Things can get lively when the Denver Broncos are playing on one of the dozen or so TVs around the restaurant, but this sports bar features a custom dining room that can accommodate guests looking for a quiet dinner, too.

In the summertime, Quandary Grille boasts one of the best patios in all of Breckenridge, which can also serve as a happening après-ski scene on warmer, sunny days during winter. An extensive draft beer selection and a variety of craft cocktails — not to mention some choice bloody Mary’s and margaritas — make Quandary Grille just as fun and delicious a place to imbibe as it is to dine.

It’s important to stand out in a place like Breckenridge that has so many drinking and dining options, says Managing Partner Tim Applegate. That’s why Quandary Grille works hard to complement its prime location and beautiful views with food, drinks and service that keep locals and visitors coming back for more. He attributes a lot of Quandary Grille’s popularity to the bartenders Bob, Jen and Jordan. Together they have been serving locals and visitors for over 20 years collectively.

Variety meets quality

Quandary Grille is sourcing as many products as possible from Colorado, such as the all natural 100 percent Colorado-raised, fresh (never frozen) Gold Canyon Beef for all burgers. Options include customizable burger toppings or specialty burgers like the classic “Gringo” with American cheese, bacon and thousand island, or the “Colorado” with cheddar and pork green chili.

Every steak on the menu is hand-cut, and they try to utilize as much of the cow as possible. An example of this is the steak slider, where trimmings are used to create a mouth-watering beef slider served with sautéed onions, blue cheese and pesto.

If beef isn’t your thing, don’t fret — Quandary offers variety for the wide range of guests in Breckenridge. One online reviewer wrote that she nearly passed Quandary Grille by because she assumed it served “hotel food” due to its location inside the Main Street Station — “not so,” she wrote, while giving a shout-out to the spinach salad with strawberries, candied walnuts and Colorado goat cheese.

Some of the appetizers, small plates and salads also set Quandary apart from most sports bars. Sure, they have nachos, quesadillas, wings and chicken tenders — all delicious and customizable — but Quandary also offers many creative and health-friendly dishes.

Thai lettuce wraps, sesame-seared ahi tuna and grilled portabella mushrooms stuffed with artichokes, roasted red peppers, olives, spinach and goat cheese add to a robust list of lighter fare options, which also include about half-a-dozen salads.

Anyone looking to refuel after pounding through powder all day on the hill can find hearty options like the barbecue platter, rotisserie chicken with cracked pepper gravy.

Après-ski

Every day from 2 to 5 p.m. for food, and 2 to 5:30 p.m. for drinks, Quandary Grille serves up the following specials:

$7 appetizers (nachos, spinach- artichoke dip, wings, lettuce wrap, homemade mozzarella sticks, crispy organic Brussels sprouts, sesame seared ahi tuna, southwest eggrolls and more!)

$4 draft beers

$4 house wines

$5 premium well cocktails

Quandary Grille

970-547-5969

505 S.
