{"id":795201,"date":"2019-04-25T21:04:00","date_gmt":"2019-04-26T03:04:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.summitdaily.com\/news\/attorney-general-announces-financial-security-task-force-for-colorados-seniors\/"},"modified":"2019-04-25T21:04:00","modified_gmt":"2019-04-26T03:04:00","slug":"attorney-general-announces-financial-security-task-force-for-colorados-seniors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alwaysmountaintime.com\/ksmt\/local-news\/attorney-general-announces-financial-security-task-force-for-colorados-seniors\/","title":{"rendered":"Attorney General announces financial security task force for Colorado\u2019s seniors"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">Attorney General Phil Weiser announced the formation of a new joint task force on Wednesday meant to help protect the financial security of older residents in Colorado.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">Weiser, who made the announcement at Senior Lobby Day in Denver, said that by 2030 the number of Coloradans over 65 years old would double, reaching about 1.3 million and 20% of the population.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">\u201cI view our changing age demographic with great optimism,\u201d said Weiser. \u201cIt is a sign that we are a place where people are committed to tradition, and to building deep roots \u2026 but this change will also carry some challenges.
