The Lake Dillon Theatre Company Hosts Sonya Meyer in Conservation, Comedy & Song in \u201cA Day of Sky: A Cabaret for Climate Change\u201d<\/p>\n

This weekend the public is invited to an intimate theatrical performance that\u2019s entertaining and educational. As part of their ongoing cabaret series, Lake Dillon Theatre Company premieres \u201cA Day of Sky: A Cabaret for Climate Change\u201d on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Featuring Sonya Meyer, \u201cA Day of Sky\u201d combines her passions for the outdoors and musical theater as both an artist and ski instructor at Aspen Snowmass. It blends personal storytelling about her deep connection to the wilderness and popular songs of resistance and inspiration by the Beatles, Paul Simon, Queen, Joni Mitchell and others.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor me, even as someone who cares about climate change and wants to help and support these organizations, it\u2019s hard to know what is actually being done and what I can actually do to get involved,\u201d said Meyer in a press release. \u201cI\u2019ve been fortunate to be on such an amazing journey and am so passionate about music.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meyer most recently performed with LDTC during their 2016 \u201cNew York New Year\u2019s Eve\u201d celebration. She was also seen as Melody in \u201cBad Jews.\u201d<\/p>\n

Performances will take place in the Henry Studio Theatre in the Silverthorne Performing Arts Center on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 6:30 p.m. Tickets range from $14.50\u2013\u00ac$41.50. Visit LakeDillonTheatre.org to purchase.<\/p>\n
