The clip is a single-take close-up of Stark\u2019s eyes, bedazzled with glittery green eyeshadow, as she sings \u201cLady Bird\u201d in voiceover. \u201cI\u2019d love to kill you but you look like an angel still\/Street lights up our faces\/Winding down the hill,\u201d she sings of a toxic relationship over a spare piano.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLady Bird\u201d is Stark\u2019s fourth standalone single following her debut EP,&nbsp;<em>Dandelion<\/em>, released last year, and was co-produced by her guitarist Thomas Hunter, who also plays in the band The Heavy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">\u201cWe recorded \u2018Lady Bird\u2019 at the very last second when I was performing my <em>Dandelion<\/em> Sessions in LA,\u201d says Stark. \u201cIt was done in one take, no comps. Thomas and I were in this big room, and I sang on this cool old mic while he played the piano. It was casual, and it has turned out to be one of my favorite recordings. Similarly, with the video, we had the idea to shoot it while we were on tour so my bass player Wade filmed the video in one take backstage while The Heavy was performing. My makeup wasn\u2019t totally clean, it was loud as fuck, and that was that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Stark also worked with Chuck Grant (Lana del Rey\u2019s sister) on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/jesse-jo-stark-seduces-skeleton-man-in-racy-fire-of-love-video-628953\/\">a spooky video<\/a> for her song \u201cFire of Love\u201d last year.
