{"id":797111,"date":"2019-06-25T15:31:45","date_gmt":"2019-06-25T21:31:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.summitdaily.com\/?p=367933"},"modified":"2019-06-25T15:31:45","modified_gmt":"2019-06-25T21:31:45","slug":"the-summit-foundation-awards-more-than-a-half-million-dollars-to-local-nonprofits","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alwaysmountaintime.com\/ksmt\/local-news\/the-summit-foundation-awards-more-than-a-half-million-dollars-to-local-nonprofits\/","title":{"rendered":"The Summit Foundation awards more than a half million dollars to local nonprofits"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>BRECKENRIDGE \u2014 The Summit Foundation awarded $563,900 to 43 Summit County nonprofits as part of its spring grant program, according to a news release.<\/p>\n<p>The money was distributed across the foundation\u2019s four impact areas: healthy and safe communities, bright futures, arts and culture and environmental stewardship.<\/p>\n<p>Local organizations received grants to provide key services in Summit County \u2014 including need-based scholarships, year-round cultural programming and help with health care navigation \u2014 in addition to grants that support environmental efforts and other community programs.<\/p>\n<p>The following nonprofits received grant funding:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Blue River Horse Center<\/li>\n<li>Boys and Girls Club of the High Rockies<\/li>\n<li>Breckenridge Creative Arts<\/li>\n<li>Breckenridge Film Festival<\/li>\n<li>Breckenridge Heritage Alliance<\/li>\n<li>Bristlecone Montessori School<\/li>\n<li>Carriage House Early Learning Center<\/li>\n<li>Colorado Farm to Table<\/li>\n<li>Colorado Fourteeners Initiative<\/li>\n<li>Colorado Mountain College Foundation<\/li>\n<li>The Colorado Trail Foundation<\/li>\n<li>The Cycle Effect<\/li>\n<li>Domus Pacis Family Respite<\/li>\n<li>DYC Junior Sailing Club<\/li>\n<li>Early Intervention- Summit County Public Health<\/li>\n<li>Far View Horse Rescue and Rehabilitation<\/li>\n<li>Girl Scouts of Colorado<\/li>\n<li>Girls on the Run of Western Colorado<\/li>\n<li>Grand County Rural Health Network<\/li>\n<li>Knights of Columbus<\/li>\n<li>League for Animals &amp; People of the Summit<\/li>\n<li>Little Red Schoolhouse<\/li>\n<li>More To Life<\/li>\n<li>Mosquito Range Heritage Initiative<\/li>\n<li>Reach Out and Read Colorado<\/li>\n<li>Rocky Mountain Youth Corps<\/li>\n<li>Smart Bellies<\/li>\n<li>South Park Food Bank<\/li>\n<li>Summit Community &amp; Senior Center<\/li>\n<li>Summit Community Care Clinic<\/li>\n<li>Summit County Rescue Group<\/li>\n<li>Summit County Youth Baseball<\/li>\n<li>Summit County Youth Hockey<\/li>\n<li>Summit Habitat for Humanity<\/li>\n<li>Summit Historical Society<\/li>\n<li>Summit Medical Center Hospital Foundation<\/li>\n<li>Summit Nordic Ski Club<\/li>\n<li>Summit Tigers American Legion Baseball<\/li>\n<li>Team Breckenridge Sports Club<\/li>\n<li>Team Summit Colorado<\/li>\n<li>Timberline Adult Day Services<\/li>\n<li>Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado<\/li>\n<li>Wildlands Restoration Volunteers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition to the spring grants, four donor-advised funds managed by the community foundation contributed an additional $31,000, bringing the total amount awarded to $594,900, according to the release.<\/p>\n<p>Since it began distributing funds in 1986, the community foundation has awarded more than $33.3 million in grants and scholarships.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.summitdaily.com\/news\/the-summit-foundation-awards-more-than-a-half-million-dollars-to-local-nonprofits\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">via:: Summit Daily<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BRECKENRIDGE \u2014 The Summit Foundation awarded $563,900 to 43 Summit County nonprofits as part of its spring grant program, according to a news release.
