Since moving to Charleston Danny McBride<\/a> has welcomed several famous friends to his home, but none so strange as Kanye West<\/a>. During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live<\/a><\/em> to promote his new HBO series The Righteous Gemstones<\/em> the actor described a truly insane day with the rapper.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had a pretty interesting guest shortly after we moved there,\u201d McBride tells Kimmel. \u201cOne day I got a phone call out of nowhere and the voice sounded familiar, but I wasn\u2019t sure who it was. I was like, \u2018Hello?\u2019 and he was like, \u2018Hey, is Danny there?\u2019 He was like, \u2018This is Kanye West.’\u201d The actor, who has no idea how West got his number, adds, \u201cI thought it was a joke. He basically said that he was a fan of mine and wanted to come hang out.\u201d<\/p>\n

The rapper jetted down to Charleston, where and McBride met up and went out on a boat. \u201cHe had an idea for a project that I think was a pretty brilliant idea,\u201d the actor recounts. \u201cHe wanted to do a movie about the story of his life and he wanted me to play him.\u201d The pair hung out and talked, resulting in what McBride calls \u201cthe most incredible afternoon.\u201d Later, West and McBride watched the actor\u2019s seven-year-old son play Fortnite <\/em>for a while.<\/p>\n

\u201cAre you sure this happened?\u201d Kimmel inquires at one point. \u201cBecause you\u2019ve done drugs, right?\u201d<\/p>\n

So will we be seeing a movie of West\u2019s life starring McBride? Unclear, but Kimmel is interested in playing Kim Kardashian opposite the actor. \u201cIf you can play him I could play her, right?\u201d the host confirms.<\/p>\n
